I liked how perfectly unperfect they behaved which felt very authentic to me.įurthermore, The Spanish Love Deception included important topics like trust, family pressure, and sexism in the workplace which made it not only a fun but also an important read. Catalina was hilarious and so was her family. Not only was the book easy to read, very summery, and the chapters not too long, but it was also really funny and you would have definitely caught me laughing a few times. Both Catalina and Aaron felt very real to me and I was able to feel with the characters. Man does he know how to build up some tension and show his love for Catalina. Not only did I enjoy the slow burn but I also enjoyed the characters themselves.Ĭatalina was funny, strong, and tried to protect her heart as best as possible while Aaron was kind, very handsome, and oh so swoon-worthy. And let me tell you, all this enemies-to-lovers theme definitely didn’t disappoint. Right from the beginning, there was obvious chemistry between Catalina and Aaron that evolved throughout the story. Of course, she declines the offer at first but just until there is no other option left. The book started right with the main male character and colleague she dislikes the most Aaron offering her to be her date to the wedding. The main character Catalina Martín is in desperate need of a wedding date for her sister’s wedding in Spain. I have been wanting to read The Spanish Love Deception for so long and I am so happy I finally did.
